Product Owner
IT Operations Manager (Full Time Remote)
Senior Full-Stack Developer
This role will be expected to evaluate various factors, such as client entity structures (such as legal, operating, tax, and others), tax liabilities/capacity and pass-through considerations and industry, qualification requirements for the credits and incentives, and the other tax and non-tax considerations, to maximize the value TaxCredible delivers to its clients and their CPA. Tax Incentive Operations will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, perform under tight deadlines, and act with integrity and professionalism.
The person in this role will work closely with and support a highly experienced team that knows the industry and has developed efficient methods and tools to help in project implementation.
Requirements

Education: B.S. or B.A. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline. Advanced degree (Master's in Taxation/JD) and/or CPA designation strongly preferred.

5+ years Tax and/or Accounting experience.

Tax credit and incentive experience are preferred but not required.

“Big Four” public accounting and/or consulting experience is a plus.

Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role will be a key position within the organization, which provides clients with a variety of federal, state, and local tax credits and incentives. The position will entail various responsibilities, including the calculation of tax credits and incentives, assisting in the evaluation and improvement of operational processes, providing tax and legal analysis and interpretation, providing exceptional client service, and interacting with team members in other functional areas.

Responsibilities
- Develop long-term, profitable relationships with CPA referral sources
- Work with Project Managers and Account Managers to develop technical competence and expertise in State and relevant Federal tax credits
- Identify, close, and deliver tax credit projects by:

- Working with CPAs, leveraging existing networks, and developing other referral sources to identify leads
- Delivering signed Services Agreement to clients and their tax professionals
- Coordinating with TaxCredible guides and other Account Managers in managing projects to completion and delivery
- Ensuring invoices are delivered and helping to resolve accounts receivable issues

- Generate leads by:

- Developing and executing lead generation activities, including cold calling, networking, joining business and professional organizations, and attending seminars, trade shows, and other activities.
- Following up with clients for feedback, future tax credit opportunities, and referrals
- Utilizing TaxCredible’s technology and CRM solutions (HubSpot) to leverage Social Selling capabilities and manage client and referral relationships

- Update CRM system and coordinate resources as needed.
- Develop a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy with opportunity analysis, goals, resource requirements, and lead generation activities.

- Participate in weekly team and individual calls and meetings with management to track and report on lead generation and sales activities.
- Engage with existing Account Managers to provide sales and account management support where needed first

- Assist in the development and training of new Account Managers when and where needed

Requirements

Education: B.S. or B.A.

Two plus years of software selling experience.

As a SaaS Product Owner at TaxCredible, you will be responsible for leading the product development and delivery of our SaaS tax software solutions. You’ll report to the Sr. Product Director and coordinate with design and the dev team on feature requests, schedule releases, and the mechanics of sprint coordination.
Key Responsibilites:

Agile Product Management: Act as the product owner in agile development methodologies, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely and successful product releases and collaborating with product leadership to prioritize dev efforts

Workflow Management: Ensure that the development team has a clear, prioritized list of development tasks and own the resulting workflow. Responsible for backlog management, iteration planning and turning feature level epics into executable dev tasks

Sprint Processes: Live and breath in JIRA, being the main point of contact for all things ticket and process oriented. Own scrum ceremonies and processes. Keep abreast with agile/scrum best practices and new trends.

Product Integrity: Be willing to jump in and test workflows, think outside the box, find bugs, and generate new product ideas. This is a self-starter type of role, where you’ll have a lot of ownership and be expected to run with things. No task is beneath you, and there’s a lot of growth opportunity in this role.

Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from concept to release, ensuring high-quality, user-friendly, and scalable SaaS solutions.

Product Launches: Plan and execute successful product and feature launches in partnership with product leadership, coordinating with marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure smooth rollouts and customer onboarding.

Customer Advocacy: Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their pain points and needs to advocate for customer-centric product enhancements. You’ll be a partner to product leadership in translating customer feedback into actionable dev work.
Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Product Owner, Project Manager, Product Manager, or similar role in the SaaS industry.

Startup experience strongly preferred, especially <100 FTE companies.

Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and product management principles.

Exceptional communication , organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.

Basic familiarity with tech stacks, back end v. front end work, and common CI/CD practices

Experienced with JIRA.

The IT Operations Manager will oversee the strategic planning, procurement, implementation, security, processes, and management of Information Technology solutions in use by TaxCredible and the IT operational activities associated with them.
